Hillcrest Assisted Living is a small privately owned and operated facility for the elderly located in a quiet country setting. Recent studies show that many elderly people suffer from what experts are calling "social isolation". Many seniors are separated from their families by time and distance as they often lose their spouse or close friends over time. In addition to dementia and diabetes, seniors living alone are prone to injury, lack a proper diet and suffer from bouts of depression. Once weakness sets in, they tend to go down a spiraling path of poor health. In these cases, placement in an assisted living facility may be the answer. Hillcrest has been the answer for many families and residents for over 21 years. Since Hillcrest is small and "homelike" it is more acceptable to people who are resisting concerned family members' placement recommendations.
